Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT MADE YOU START THIS ORGANIZATION?
We were both fortunate enough to grow up in an environment with incredible mentors to help motivate us, and instill the belief that we can accomplish anything that we set our minds to. Seeing first hand how the people you surround yourself with determines the way you move forward in life, has made us wish to share the experience with other girls who are starting this journey.
WHERE IS YOUR PROGRAM CURRENTLY RUNNING?
Our program is currently running in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We deliver 50% of the program online, while the other 50% is delivered in person by us and selected provincial coaches and course facilitators.
We plan on delivering our program Nationwide by October 2023.
CAN YOU EXPAND YOUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM TO OTHER PROVINCES OR CLUBS?
Yes! Our program is designed to work collaboratively with provincial organizations, clubs, and/or, academies. If you have an interest in running this program for a group of girls that fit the criteria, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the options.
WHAT IF I'M NOT A HIGH LEVEL TENNIS PLAYER?
Being a high level tennis player is not a requirement for our program. We aim to build an inclusive environment that opens participation to all girls that share a passion for the sport, no matter what their level of play is.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?
We believe that through tennis, females can gain valuable life experience in a safe environment. They acquire knowledge in goal setting, discipline, independence, time management, responsibility, and so much more. We have created a collaborative environment that brings young females together to learn, grow, and lead. We believe there are various pathways to success and this program will work with each individual to reach their full potential.
The girls will be learning in a team environment that allows them to build friendships, work together and grow, in a non-competitive environment. They will work collaboratively with the mentees to provide a support network and assist them in achieving their personal goals. We will provide Tennis Canada Instructor Course training throughout the duration of the program. All participants will receive a Community Tennis Facilitator training upon completion of the Inspire Mentorship Program and those that are eligible will have the opportunity to complete the Instructor Course certification simultaneously. In turn, they will leave the program with valuable skills and certifications that will start them off on a positive path in their careers.

Note: We cannot guarantee each participant will receive their Instructor certification. Candidates must meet the standard on all of the evaluations to be certified.
